OCEANO: New Interview With Bassist JASON JONES

October 20, 2010

Rock My Monkey recently conducted an interview with bassist Jason Jones of Chicago deathcore heavyweights OCEANO. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.

OCEANO recently filmed a video for the song "Weaponized" in New York City. The clip combines elements of the "Contagion" album concept brought to life with footage of the band's normally intense stage show wrapped in a darker, more dramatic setting.

"Contagion" track listing:

01. Precursor To Enslavement
02. Viral Re-Animation
03. Regulated Disposal Of Life
04. Quarantine
05. The Contaminated
06. Exist In Confinement
07. Persuasive Oppression
08. Weaponized
09. Sadistic Experiments
10. Remnants Aflame
11. Ending Intellect

"Contagion" was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who has previously worked with MUNICIPAL WASTE, THE ACACIA STRAIN, HATEBREED and SHADOWS FALL, among others.

The song "Precursor To Enslavement" is available for streaming at AltPress.com. It can also be heard using the audio player below.

OCEANO has released a six-plus-minute trailer for a bonus DVD that fans can find exclusively at all Transworld stores (which include FYE, Coconuts, Saturday Matinee, Spin Street and more) bundled with new copies of "Contagion" on November 9. Entitled "Creating The Contagion", this exclusive DVD captures everything that fans would want to know about the "Contagion" recording sessions and then some. Get up close and personal with OCEANO through in-depth interviews, tracking session footage and even a tour of the kitchen pantry at Planet Z Studios.
